Biography

Cristiane Freitas is a Brazilian english public school educator, researcher of Arab culture, and founder of Universo Árabe, a digital platform dedicated to fostering understanding between Brazil and the Arab world.

She began her academic journey at the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, initially studying German before transferring to the English Literature and Language graduation. She later completed postgraduate specializations in Methodology of English Language Teaching, School Management and Coordination, and Neuropedagogy and Human Development.

Cristiane lived in the United Arab Emirates from 2011 to 2020, an experience that profoundly shaped her academic and cultural interests. She frequently travels to Egypt, where part of her family resides in Alexandria. Immersion in the region inspired her ongoing research into Ancient History, Arabic language studies, and Arab and Egyptian cultural heritage.

A dedicated advocate for cross-cultural education, Cristiane began self-directed studies in Arabic writing in 2011. She later developed a free instructional video series teaching Brazilians how to read and write Arabic, which continues to support beginners worldwide.

Her work focuses on intercultural dialogue, language acquisition, identity, and historical consciousness. Through her lectures and digital presence, she promotes deeper understanding of the Arab world while challenging stereotypes and encouraging global citizenship.
