Biography
Karen is an editorial coordinator and a freelance editor, writer, and blogger who studied Islamic and Ancient Near Eastern art and architecture in graduate school and has remained fascinated with these subjects ever since. For her, art and architecture are pathways to learning about history and culture. She is particularly interested in Turkey, where the Ancient Near East meets Byzantium meets Islam, and Ireland, where her roots lie. She also confounds family and friends with her passion for editing.
