The wood engraving print here shows Union troops at the Battle of Fort Donelson 11-16 February 1862, during the American Civil War. The battle ultimately resulted in a Confederate surrender of the fort and a Union victory. This wood engraving print was originally published in the American political magazine Harper's Weekly.
