Biography

Teresa Fava Thomas enjoys reading about history and especially traveling to do research around Venice and Rome, Italy. As an historian and university professor she has taught courses in World Civilizations and Modern Italian History, as well as Venice: An Ancient City, at Fitchburg State University. She received FSU's Faculty Award for Research and Scholarship. Her research and writing projects are focused on the impact of the Second World War on Italy. Her current research is focused on Venice and the Veneto region and also on Rome and the Lazio region. Her most recent publication is The Allied Bombing of Central Italy: The Restoration of the Nile Mosaic and Sanctuary of Fortuna at Palestrina which is out in paperback from Routledge Press.
