Biography

Smiley Placeholder I am a Lecturer in Roman Archaeology and History at Canterbury Christ Church University in the UK. I completed my PhD at Durham University, with a thesis entitled "More than a Roman Monument: A Place-centred Approach to the Long-term History and Archaeology of the Antonine Wall." I am a teacher of undergraduate courses across Roman history and archaeology, supervise postgraduate researchers, and am an active researcher in the area of life and interaction at the edges of the Roman world. I maintain archaeological field projects in Britain and the near east, and am currently preparing the late Roman and Byzantine material from Tall Hisban (Jordan) for final publication. I also serve as Chairperson of the Theoretical Roman Archaeology Conference (TRAC) Standing Committee.
