Samurai Onikojima Yataro Kazutada
Samurai armour developed from earlier styles of Japanese armour and continued to evolve from the time that the samurai class emerged in the 10th century CE to their decline in the 19th century. This mid-19th century woodblock print by Utagawa Kuniyoshi depicts the samurai Onikojima Yatarô Kazutada (1522-1582 CE).
