Roman Armour
A detail from a 2nd-century CE Roman statue showing the armoured breastplate (lorica), tunic, and cloak (paludamentum) typical of a Roman officer. The armour is decorated with acanthus leaves and from the hanging pieryges are, alternately, griffins and wild animals.
