Saloninus (Artistic Facial Reconstruction)
Saloninus (r. 260 CE) was the son of Gallienus (r. 253-268 CE). He was sent by his father into Gaul, under the protection of the commander Postumus (r. 260-270 CE). Postumus had Saloninus executed in 260 CE and seized control of Germania, Gaul, Hispania, and Roman Britain to form the breakaway Gallic Empire.
Pictured alongside the reconstruction is a coin portrait of Saloninus as well as three de-aged portraits of Gallienus.
