Biography
Ruisen Zheng is a fourth-year History PhD student at King's College London funded by Arts and Humanities Research Council. He holds a BA in history/medieval studies and classic (Fordham) and MA in medieval history (kings's college London) and MScR in history (Eindburgh). His doctoral thesis presents a detailed cross-cultural and comparative study of the compilation literature in the tenth and eleventh-century Byzantium and China and he works on the comparative study between Song dynasty China and Macedonian Byzantium, and on the Global Middle Ages in general.
