John T. Lowe is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Louisville and is a Ph.D. candidate at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. He holds a M.Div. and Th.M. from Southern Seminary, and a BA from the University of Louisville. His research mainly focuses on the race and religion in early American history. He is the editor of Jonathan Edwards within the Enlightenment: Controversy, Experience, & Thought (Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht), as well as Jonathan Edwards and the Early American Republic: Patriotism, Exceptionalism, and the Pursuit of Happiness .
