Biography

Hi! I'm Emiliano, a translator from Uruguay with a passion for languages, history, reading, and writing. I became a translator because I love the idea of making knowledge accessible and helping people connect with other cultures and with one another.

I've been fascinated by languages for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I would "sing along" to songs in languages I didn't understand, trying to imitate the sounds and figure out what the lyrics meant. Later, I spent a year abroad as an exchange student, an experience that opened my eyes to the power of language and inspired me to pursue translation. Since then, I've been dedicated to building bridges between languages and cultures through my work.

History is one of my favorite fields to translate because I've always believed that the real stories of our past are often more thrilling than any fiction or fantasy world you can come up with. Whether it's a medieval chronicle, a historical article, or a museum text, I find great satisfaction in helping make those stories and that knowledge accessible to a wider audience. Learning something new with every project is one of the things I enjoy most about being a translator.
