Biography
Having graduated with a BA (Hons) in archaeology and law from Sydney University, Fiona went on to complete a PhD at Edinburgh, specialising in Egyptian scarab seals. Author of two books on scarab seals, she spent over 20 years travelling and working throughout the Middle East. From 2002-2010 she was Publishing Director of A&D Media Ltd and in 2014 she founded Timeless Travels, a magazine that looked at travel from an art, history or archaeological perspective, which she edited, wrote and designed. Fiona was awarded Journalist of the Year in 2018 by the Holland Tourist Board and Outstanding Article of the Year and Journalist of the Year by the Netherlands Board of Tourism Conventions in 2020.
