Biography
I was born and raised in Iran and moved to France to pursue my studies in music. I completed my Master’s degree in Musicology at Sorbonne University in 2023 and have since been working as a guitar teacher at the Conservatoire de Breuillet.
My academic writing has appeared in journals including Iranian Studies (Cambridge University Press), Early Music (Oxford University Press), and Soundboard Scholar.
My public-facing writing and music criticism have appeared in The Dispatch, Diapason, and La Lettre du Musicien.
I have been admitted to the PhD program in Musicology at Harvard University. However, due to U.S. entry restrictions affecting Iranian nationals, I am currently unable to obtain a visa. My situation has been covered by French media outlets including Le Monde and Radio France.
