Liberty Leading the People, 28 July 1830, oil on canvas by Eugène Delacroix, September to December 1830.

Depicted here in Delacroix's painting is the bare-breasted allegorical figure of Liberty, a woman of the people. She wears a Phrygian cap that symbolises the French Revolution, leading revolutionaries over a mound of corpses.
