Marshal Foch After Signing the 1918 Armistice — View Full-Size Image

A photograph showing Supreme Allied Commander Marshal Ferdinand Foch (standing, second on the right) after the signing of the armistice with Germany on 11 November 1918 which ended the First World War. The train was Marshal Foch's campaign headquarters and is here stopped in the Forest of Compiègne.
