A 1918 oil-on-canvas portrait by James McBey of T.E. Lawrence (1888-1935), better known as 'Lawrence of Arabia' for his role in the Arab Revolt, which helped end the Ottoman Empire's domination of the Middle East during the First World War (1914-18).
