Philip II of Rome (Artistic Facial Reconstruction — View Full-Size Image

Philip II (r. 248-249 CE) was the co-emperor of his father Philip the Arab, although as a young child he ruled in name only. Philip II was murdered once news of his father’s fate reached Rome.

Pictured alongside the reconstruction are busts of Philip II from the National Archaeological Museum of Venice (left) and the Capitoline Museum (right).
