Luciana Picciarelli

Biography

My name is Luciana Picciarelli, I was born in Taranto, Italy on 22nd December 1954. I studied English and French at university; in fact, after the degree and the qualification, I have been a teacher of English for forty years. I loved my profession, especially the relationship with students and colleagues. Now I am retired.
I have always enjoyed travelling and getting to know other cultures and languages.
History is an interesting subject because it allows me to understand how people lived in different times and places and to see past events from a different perspective. The social aspects are particularly engaging and I find especially fascinating to discover the stories of real people who lived in the past.
