Carlos A Sequera B

Carlos is a metallurgical engineer from Barquisimeto, Venezuela. He obtained his academic degrees from the Polytechnic Institute of Barquisimeto (Engineer's degree) and Experimental Polytechnic University at Barquisimeto (Masters degree on Metallurgical Engineering). He spent his professional career in diverse industries dealing with metallurgy's applications in materials selection, failure analysis, quality assurance, standardization.

Since an early age, he was very attracted to geography and ancient history. Reading about these topics become a hobby and increased his knowledge about history. Later, being a teenager, began to study English. He found very interesting to learn other languages. He also made a course of Italian, and has some knowledges of French and German. He has done some works of translation on technical standards. He is willing to perform translations mostly on historic topics.


Carlos es un ingeniero metalúrgico de Barquisimeto, Venezuela. Obtuvo sus títulos académicos en el Instituto Universitario Politécnico de Barquisimeto (título de Ingeniero) y en la Universidad Politécnica Experimental en Barquisimeto (Maestría en Ingeniería Metalúrgica). Desarrolló su carrera profesional en diversas industrias dedicándose a aplicaciones de la metalurgia en selección de materiales, análisis de fallas, aseguramiento de la calidad, normalización.

Desde la infancia se sintió muy atraído por la geografía y la historia antigua. Leer sobre estos temas se convirtió en una afición y aumentó sus conocimientos sobre historia. Más tarde, siendo un adolescente, comenzó a estudiar inglés. Le resultaba muy interesante aprender otros idiomas. También hizo un curso de italiano, y tiene algunos conocimientos de francés y alemán. Ha realizado algunos trabajos de traducción sobre normas técnicas. Tiene interés en realizar traducciones, sobre todo en temas históricos.
