    Life of the Italian Renaissance artist Benvenuto Cellini.
  • 9 May 1761 CE
    The Exhibition of the Society of Artists of Great Britain (known as the Exhibition of 1761) opens at Spring Gardens, Westminster, London, to highlight the work of living artists. The event laid the foundation for the later Royal Academy of Arts.
