Temple of Diana, photograph by Juan Ángel Piqueras, Mérida, Badajoz, Extremadura, Spain, 01 August 2025.

The so-called Temple of Diana is a Roman temple built between the end of the 1st century BCE and the beginning of the 1st century CE in the city of Augusta Emerita, capital of the Roman province of Lusitania, present-day Mérida (Spain). It was actually dedicated to the imperial cult, not to the goddess Diana, and must have been one of the city's main temples. The structure of this temple is similar to others dedicated to Augustus Caesar.
