An 1896 oil on canvas, The Great Bridge, Rouen, by Camille Pissarro (1830-1903), the Danish-French impressionist painter. The artist visited Rouen in Normandy several times in his career. He was particularly fascinated in capturing the docks and bridges, perhaps as a change from the rural landscapes he was then more famous for. (Museum of Art, Carnegie Institute, Pittsburgh)
