An illustration by John Duncan of the mythical Fomorians. In the Cath Maige Tuired (aka The Battle of Mag Tuired) of Irish-Celtic mythology, the Fomorians, who came from the sea, were defeated by the Tuatha Dé Danann led by Lugh.
