A photorealistic representation of what the Roman emperor Valerian (r. 253-260 CE) may have looked like. Based on contemporary and near contemporary descriptions, as well as archaeological evidence. Pictured alongside the reconstruction is a bust of Valerian from the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek. Made using Photoshop and Artbreeder, a neural net tool.
