From Jesus to Christ: The First Christians

PBS Frontline interviews the nation's leading New Testament scholars, challenging familiar assumptions about the origins of Christianity. Topics such as the original numerous sects of Christianity all with their own differing beliefs are discussed as well as the eventual outlawing of the religion by Rome due to the Christians refusal to commit sacrifice to the pagan Gods of Rome which led to their persecution and then the eventual standardization as a Religion codified by Emperor Constantine and the Roman Empire.
