I obtained a MA in history with a focus on the Ancient Mediterranean. After teaching college-level history I moved into educational writing and have written numerous nonfiction children's books on historical topics such as Mesopotamia, ancient Egypt, ancient Rome, European explorers, women inventors and scientists, and civil rights.
