Marco Antonio Delgado Delgado

Biography

Born in La Puebla del Rio (Sevilla) in 1954. I studied in Sevilla University where I got a Degree in Biology and in 1982 a Ph.D. in Science (my field was yeast genetics).
From the very beginning my professional career has been in the Food and Beverage Industry mainly in R&D activities and projects from a managerial position. Additionally, during three years I collaborated with Sevilla University as an external lecturer in Biotechnology.
In collaboration with others I have published a number of scientific papers and also I have acquired a complementary background in business management and technical know-how. Of course English is the common language in my professional world and most of my readings.
After retirement, I have developed a strong interest in the human and cultural aspects of historical changes, sharing it with other areas I am also very interested, specially new developments in science, mainly in molecular biology, human evolution and related.
