Louise graduated with a PhD in Ancient History from the University of Sydney. Her research interests include narrative literature in the ancient Near East and the interplay between humanity, animality, and divinity in the myths and epics of the ancient world.
Louise's interest in ancient history initially developed through her love of stories. Teaching and researching in Ancient Near Eastern history allows for the exploration of some of the world's oldest stories, told in complex languages that have been largely lost to modern day audiences. These ancient stories hold sophisticated and timeless insights into the universal quality of life, and the manner in which creative narratives have framed the human condition for millenia.
