Biography
Honoka Ishigami is an independent translator between English and Japanese, holding an MPhil in Islamic Studies and History from University of Oxford. During her MPhil, she specialised in medieval Islamic history with particular interests in gender history. Honoka also studied Jomon archaeology and joined an excavation in Akita, Japan during her BA. She spent one year in Sweden studying Swedish history and religion at Linnaeus University.
Resonating with the mission of World History Organisation, she aims to make history education more accessible to Japanese readers.
