Gilad Sommer

Gilad Sommer is a freelance writer, teacher and practising philosopher. Originally from Israel, Gilad moved to Chicago to found the "New Acropolis" school of philosophy there, where he teaches the practice of philosophy in the style of classical schools of philosophy, such as Plato's academy in Athens, the school of Confucius in China and the Roman Stoic school. Gilad is also a musician, and he founded the Israeli Tristan institute of performing arts, which integrates philosophy with music, dance and theatre.
