Server Costs Fundraiser 2023

Running a website with millions of readers every month is expensive. Not only do we pay for our servers, but also for related services such as our content delivery network, Google Workspace, email, and much more. We would much rather spend this money on producing more free history content for the world. Thank you for your help!

Torse of Oreste, a classicising Roman creation c. 50 BCE, Rome (?), Marble. Musée d’Art et d’Histoire (Musée du Cinquantenaire, Brussels, Belgium). Made with ReMake and ReCap Pro from AutoDesk.

The teenager’s torso is originally part of a group of two young people entitled ‘Oreste and Pylade’, the work attributed to the school of the sculpter Pasitelès, active at the time of Pompéé.
