This phiale, which carries the portrait of an Iranian nobleman, was found in burial no. 2 of the Armaziskhevi archaeological site in what's present-day Georgia. It dates from c. 300-400 CE, and it is a very fine specimen of classical Sassanian art. (Georgian National Museum, Tbilisi)
