Ancient Greek neck amphora, from the Etruscan city of Vulci in the modern-day Lazio region of Italy, 510-500 BCE.

Theseus, standing to the right, wears a richly patterned tunic and a lion's skin. In a decisive moment, he leans in, restraining the Minotaur by its horn with one hand while plunging his sword into its chest.
