An 1880 oil on canvas, Rue Eugène Moussoir at Moret: Winter, by Alfred Sisley (1839-1899), the Franco-British impressionist painter. Like many of the impressionsits, Sisley was interested in capturing the effects of light on snow. He painted several canvases like this one in Moret just south of Paris where he lived in this period.
