An 1871 oil on canvas, Dulwich College, by Camille Pissarro (1830-1903), the Danish-French impressionist painter. The college was within walking distance of the artist's home in Lower Norwood; his nephew would study at Dulwich later that year. Pissarro here uses much looser and bolder brushstrokes than previously, particularly for the effects of light on the water. (Private Collection)
