An 1882 oil on canvas painting, Julie with Pasie in the Garden at Bougival, by Berthe Morisot (1841-95), the French impressionist painter. Julie was the artist's daughter and Pasie was the nanny. This work appeared in an exhibition of impressionists in New York in 1886. It shows the long, lucid, and often diagonal brushstrokes typical of the artist's style.
