Shanxu Wang

Biography

I am Shanxu Wang, born in Yangzhou, Jiangsu, China in March 22nd, 2002. I came to Canada to continue my study when I was 17, and I am currently an Civil Engineering Undergraduate at the University of Toronto in Toronto, Canada. I have been an amateur 5 dan go player for a long time, and I love biking, playing basketball, travelling, history, movies, graphite drawing and music too.
My interest for history came from my father's cultivation. As a kid, I was exposed to ancient Chinese history and poems by my father, and I was encouraged to read a number of books about them. As I grew up, my interest expanded from Chinese history to World history. The more I learn, the less I feel like I know, which is my motivation to continue absorbing history.
