Lucía Brunner

Biography

Lucía Brunner is an English-Spanish translator certified by the CTPCBA, the Buenos Aires Professional Translators Association. She holds an undergraduate degree in Sworn Translation, with an associate degree in Literary Translation.

During her last year in university, she was selected to represent the institution on the 12th Legal Translation Competition organized by the CTPCBA. As part of her experience in legal translation, she has provided sworn translation of personal documents, university degrees, corporate bylaws and notarial certificates.

Lucía is also an audiovisual translator. She has worked mainly with English and Spanish subtitles for movies and TV shows, as well as translating TV scripts and other audiovisual documents. Her association with audiovisual translation comes from her passion for the arts, especially theatre and cinema. She's an actress on the side, has been involved in theatre plays, both as an actress and as a director's assistant, and studied to be a drama teacher.
