Arham Farooq is a history enthusiast and writer. His curiosities include archaeology, architecture, mythology, linguistics, and the development of complex societies. Inspired by these curiosities, Arham's interest has been to try to understand how different traditions of thought inform different societies; and how social narratives are appropriated by different societies to fit their contexts. Arham's educational background is in the field of medicine. His other interests include literature and the sciences.

Having a passion for history since childhood, he believes that history is not just about understanding the past but it is also about enriching and changing one's outlook so that one looks at the world through a different lens or a different set of eyes. To put it in Marcel Proust's words: The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.
