This stained glass window at the Poor Clares chapel in Tonopah, Arizona, depicts the moment during the apparition of Our Lady of Guadalupe to Saint Juan Diego Cuauhtlatoatzin that she directs him to pick flowers growing miraculously on the hill of Tepeyacac. In this piece they are depicted as red roses. The words written across the top of the image are a quote derivative of the text of the Huei tlamahuiçoltica a book written by Luis Laso de la Vega in 1649 which includes a detailed account of Saint Juan Diego Cuauhtlatoatzin's interactions with the apparition of the Virgin of Guadalupe. The text in the image reads, "Am I not here, I who am your mother? You have nothing to fear." The comparable text from the Huei tlamahuiçoltica reads, "Listen, put this in your heart, my son, the youngest, that what frightened you, what afflicted you, is nothing, do not let your face, nor your heart, be perturbed; do not fear this sickness nor any other sickness, nor anything piercing, afflictive; Am I , your Mother, not here? Are you not under the shadow of my protection?" (Zarebska 2002, 111)
