This 11th-century Byzantine seal is presumed to be the official seal of Eustathios Rhomaios (DUMBARTON OAKS BZS.1958.106.5598). The date as well as the title and office on the seal match those of Rhomaios. It is 33 mm in diameter with a field of 24 mm. This is the reverse side of the seal and reads:
Εὐσταθ(ίῳ) μαγήστ[ρ(ῳ)] (καὶ) δρουγ[γα]ρ(ίῳ) τῆς Βίγλα(ς)
meaning Eustathios, magistros and droungarios of the Vigla.
