The Zeppelin airship LZ 129 Hindenburg coming in to land at Lakehurst, New Jersey, 1936. The airship's hangar and the Zeppelin-built airship USS Los Angeles can be seen in the background. A United States Coast Guard Douglas RD-4 is flying alongside the Hindenburg. The photograph was taken on 6 May, following the Hindenburg's first Atlantic crossing from Friedrichshafen, Germany, to New York.
