A gilded and turquoise Vajracharya Priest’s Crown from Nepal. Vajracharya was the highest rank of priesthood. Made in 1717. Height: 12 in. (30.5 cm). Width: 7 1/2 in. (19.1 cm). The inscription includes a warning for those who covet the crown. (Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York)
