Kathering says, "I graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara, with degrees in Anthropology, Communication, and Art History. I have traveled fairly extensively worldwide to destinations including Thailand, Greece, England, Switzerland, Italy, France, Mexico, Canada, and Chile. I have found incredible fulfillment in connecting with diverse people and cultures. Most recently, during intensive field research in northern Chile, I found myself enjoying living in adverse conditions in the name of discovery.
