# Dynastie des Diodotides

Les Diodotides formaient une dynastie de rois gréco-bactriens,[](https://www.worldhistory.org/trans/fr/2-1290/fantomes-nordiques-et-au-dela/)[](https://www.worldhistory.org/trans/fr/2-148/textes-des-pyramides-guide-de-lau-dela/)[](https://www.worldhistory.org/trans/fr/2-119/les-chaouabtis-la-main-doeuvre-de-lau-dela/)[](https://www.worldhistory.org/trans/fr/2-1942/communautes-diasporiques-en-mediterranee-et-au-del/) composée de deux souverains: Diodote Ier et son fils Diodote II. Cette dynastie régna entre environ 250 et 230 avant J.-C.; bien que très brève, elle revêt une importance particulière, car Diodote Ier fut le premier roi gréco-bactrien. L'emblème [numismatique](https://www.worldhistory.org/trans/fr/1-10749/numismatique/) de cette dynastie est le "[Zeus](https://www.worldhistory.org/trans/fr/1-538/zeus/)-tonnerre". 
 
Diodote fut d'abord satrape séleucide de [Bactriane](https://www.worldhistory.org/trans/fr/1-291/bactriane/), mais il se rebella rapidement contre le souverain séleucide Antiochos II, profitant de la [guerre](https://www.worldhistory.org/trans/fr/1-154/guerre/) entre les empires séleucide et ptolémaïque. Il combattit les Séleucides et les Parni/Parthes, mais son fils s'allia avec ces derniers.
