# الكُتّاب في بلاد ما بين النهرين القديمة

لم تكن القراءة والكتابة واسعة الانتشار في بلاد ما بين النهرين (وادي الرافدين). كان على الكُتّاب (النساخون) واغلبهم من الرجال، الخضوع للتدريب ويجب عليهم إكمال المناهج الدراسية بنجاح ليتمكنوا الحصول على لقب كاتب (دوب سار باللغة السومرية dub sar). كان الكُتّاب اعضاء في الطبقة الراقية ومُميزين مثل الكُتّاب في مصر القديمة، حيث كانوا ينظرون بكبرياء على مواطنيهم.

فهم ومعرفة الحياة في المدارس البابلية جاءت من خلال مجموعة من النصوص السومرية من الفترة البابلية القديمة. كانت هذه النصوص جزءاً من المنهج الدراسي التي اصبحت تُستنسخ بعد الآلاف من السنين. حيث يبدأ التعليم (الدراسة) في سن مبكرة في "بيت اللوح (الرقيم) é-dubba". على الرغم من أن البيت يحوي على المدير ومساعد المدير والمُحرر، إلا أن الكثير من التعليمات والانضباطات كانت بيد الطالب الأكبر عمراً، "الأخ الأكبر الباحث". ومن وقت لآخر كان لابُد الإطراء بهم واعطائهم الهدايا لتجنب الضرب من قبلهم.

بعيداً عن علم الرياضيات، لقد ركز تعليم الكاتب البابلي على تّعلم [الكتابة](https://www.worldhistory.org/trans/ar/1-72/) السومرية والأكدية وذلك باستخدام [الكتابة المسمارية](https://www.worldhistory.org/trans/ar/1-105/) وعلى تّعلم اساسيات كتابة الرسائل والعقود والحسابات. كان الكُتّاب تحت رعاية وحماية الإلهة السومرية نيسابا Nisaba. وفي سنوات لاحقة جاء بعدها الإله نابو Nabu الذي كان رمزه القلم (أداة مُدببة الطرف)، (وهي قصبة مقطوعة تُستخدم لكتابة العلامات على الطين الطري).
