Sculpture of Hygieia, the Greek goddess of health and hygiene. From Els Munts, Tarragona, Spain. The sculpture was part of a milestone on the road from Tarraco to Ilerda, and dates to the 3rd Century CE. The incomplete inscription on the milestone describes restoration carried out by Publius Portus on the road during the reigns of the Roman emperors Valerian (r. 253-260 CE) and Gallienus (r. 253-260 CE).
