The character, from the front, with his head encircled and his palms lifted in the attitude of prayer. His long tunic is decorated with crosses inscribed in a circle. The Christian theme of the orant in Egypt dates back to the Greco-Roman period, where it is frequently attested on the stelae of Kom Abou Bilou.
