Victor in the famous [battle of Gaixia](https://www.worldhistory.org/Battle_of_Gaixia/) in 202 BCE, he founded the [Han dynasty](https://www.worldhistory.org/Han_Dynasty/) which would rule [China](https://www.worldhistory.org/china/) from 202 BCE to 220 CE.
