Known as siqqatu (in [Akkadian](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/akkadian/)), such nails are found in temples and palaces throughout the Middle East in this period. They were embedded in the walls of rooms and may have been used for [wall](https://www.worldhistory.org/wall/)-hangings. From Toprakkale, Eastern [Anatolia](https://www.worldhistory.org/Asia_Minor/), in modern-day [Turkey](https://www.worldhistory.org/Asia_Minor/). Urartian, late 8th century BCE.
